| Title | 아모스서의 창조 신학과 심판 신학: 송영을 중심으로 |

| Abstract | 아모스서의 북방 이스라엘을 향한 단죄와 심판 예언은 시내산 언약 위반과 파기에 근거한 것으로만 전제되어 온 경향이 있다. 그러나 아모스서에서 언약 신학과 더불어 창조 신학도 심판의 준거로 작용하는 점이 발견된다. 이 연구는 아모스서에 나타난 창조-심판 신학의 관계성을, 창조주 송영(암 4:13; 5:8-9; 9:5-6)의 내용과 인접 문맥의 전개를 중심으로 탐구하였다. 그리하여 최종 아모스서에서 송영이 담당한 문학적 역할과 창조-심판 신학적 의미를 공시적으로 규명하였다. 세 송영은 창조주 찬양으로 시작하지만, 창조주의 본격적 활동인 역창조 행위를 만군의 야웨 신명을 수반하여 강조하고 찬양하는 양상으로 전개된다. 세 송영은 전능한 창조주의 역창조, 곧 자신이 창조한 세계를 역전하는 무질서와 파괴를 통한 심판이라는 공통된 메시지를 전한다. 송영은 야웨 하나님이 창조주이심을 선언함으로써 아모스서에 창조 신학을 추가하며, 북 이스라엘이 섬기던 바알 숭배 또는 혼합 종교를 심판하였다. 그리고 전 우주에 대한 창조주의 통치 주권과 전능한 위력을 묘사하는 창조와 역창조 모티프의 병치로, 선행 심판 예언을 뒷받침하고 강화하며 확증하였다. 또한 자연 질서의 역전된 현시로 심판 메시지를 전함과 아울러, 창조 질서로 표현된 공의(암 6:12)를 역행한 북 이스라엘 사회를 유비적으로 고발하였다. 문학적으로도 세 송영은 모두 연접 문맥과 구조적, 수사적으로 긴밀하게 결합되어 속한 단위의 심판 선언을 부각하는 절정 혹은 단위를 종결하는 결론송 기능을 수행했다. 아모스서 송영이 표출하는 창조 신학의 독특성은 종래까지 신봉되던 혼돈과 투쟁(Chaoskampf)하는 개념의 창조가 아니라, 창조주의 부정적 면모인 파괴와 혼돈(참조. 사 45:7)을 활용하여 심판 메시지를 전달 및 강조한 데 있다. 아모스서는 언약 신학과 창조 신학을 병치하여 북방 이스라엘을 이중으로 정죄함으로써 야웨의 최후 심판을 정당화한다. The prophecies of indictment and judgment against Israel in Amos have been understood to be premised only on the breaking of the Sinaitic covenant. However, there is found in Amos not only covenant theology but also creation theology as the grounds of punishment. This article investigates the relationship between creation and judgment focusing on the content of three hymns to the Creator (Amos 4:13; 5:8-9; 9:5-6) and development of the adjacent context. This study explores synchronically the creation-judgment theological connection and the literary function served by the doxologies in the final form of the book of Amos. The three doxologies begin with the praise to the Creator. However, the doxologies demonstrate the way that the Creator’s decreative activity, which was presented as God’s main work in these doxologies, was stressed and praised accompanied by the name of YHWH God of Hosts. The common message of these three is the reversed creation of the almighty Creator, a judgment through disorder and destruction that reverses the world He himself created. By declaring that YHWH is the Creator, the doxologies add creation theology to Amos and judge Israel’s Baalistic worship or syncretistic religion. The doxologies support, strengthen, and confirm the preceding prophetic oracles through the juxtaposition of creation and decreation motifs, which depict the Creator's omnipotent power and sovereignty of universal scale. The doxologies convey the definite message of judgment through the manifestation of reversed natural order. Reversed cosmic order in the hymns also denounced northern society analogically for reversing the justice expressed in the created order (Am 6:12). And in respect to literature, all three doxologies are inseparably connected with the context structurally and rhetorically. They perform a climactic function which highlights the Creator’s judgment declaration in the discourse unit to which the hymn belongs, or the role of the closing song that concludes the unit. The peculiarity of creation theology presented in the doxologies of Amos is not the concept of struggle with chaos (Chaoskampf). Instead, Amos utilizes the negative aspect of the Creator, destruction and chaos (cf. Ge 6:7, 13; Isa 45:7), so as to communicate and emphasize the message of judgment. The book of Amos justifies YHWH’s irreversible final punishment by condemning northern Israel doubly by means of the juxtaposition of covenant theology and creation theology. |
